How do I get a login?

We only provide logins for trade customers. We only make accounts available to genuine trade and business customers. You will need to apply for an account for access.

Can I have an account?

At any point we have £15m of brand new goods in our own company stock, ready to deliver. Most held centrally with regional depots holding the most popular models for speedy reaction times.

Can I have an account?

Accounts are only available to genuine trade and business, which is part of the reason we have a thorough application form, to ensure everything is in order. A credit account is subject to references and only available to businesses that meet our credit and trading criteria.

How do I get an account?

Download our application form here and complete and send it in to the Hughes Trade central office, the address on the top of the form. We will be in touch with you from there.

What prices will I get?

There is no fixed discount; prices are calculated from cost to ensure they are accurate. We have different price bands by turnover and business type. The average saving from the typical selling price is around 10%.

Do you have a price list?

It is not practical for us to print a list as prices and promotions can change every day, all our quotations are calculated on request to ensure accuracy.

What is TSP?

This stands for Typical Selling Price, an accurate guide of the current competitive retail selling price in the UK.

What is the warranty with products?

Products are supplied with a standard manufacturer’s warranty when used in a domestic scenario (for which they have been designed and intended). If you plan to use your product in a heavy duty or commercial scenario (i.e. outside their intended design) the product warranty may be limited or void - you will effectively be buying an unsuitable product for the intended use and there will be no warranty supplied or implied. We can however supply heavy duty and/or commercial products that will have a commercial use warranty, similarly we can supply a commercial use warranty for domestic products used in a commercial setting for many scenarios. Some manufacturers have a different angle on what constitutes domestic/heavy duty/commercial and we can advise rather than buying blind from a domestic store. Can I pay cash for my order?

Yes you can. We also accept many common cards and cheques, although these may need to clear first depending on our relationship.

Do you charge for carriage?

Delivery is usually included for orders over £350 except some kitchen appliances and large screen TVs, which due to the nature of their size or weight, may incur a carriage charge. This will be discussed at time of order.

Do you keep everything in stock?

We keep millions of pounds of winning models in stock and we’d love to say yes to everything but in reality sometimes the manufacturers do run out of the best of the best. Our buyers are amongst the best in the business and they ensure we try to have a couple of options, just in case.

Aren’t you just pushing what you’ve got?

Generally our buyers cherry pick products to create a range that offers great value and solid features, or to fulfil a particular function or niche, which is what we will recommend. If you need something in a hurry tell us we’ll recommend an item from stock so as not to let you down. We pride ourselves on being advisors - not salespeople.

How long will it take to be delivered?

With such big stocks generally you can expect items to the following timescales.

     • Small carrier items will arrive next day (midday order cut off)
     • Small carrier items will arrive next day (if ordered before midday).
     • Standard national delivery of large items travel on a rota area two man service. 3-4 days
     • Bulk deliveries are normally planned well in advance and undertaken by our own trucks so when and where you want them.

We are really desperate for some items, can we collect?

Yes of course, we have working hours collection points in our main Thetford and Birmingham warehouses plus most likely from the substantial stocks in some of our large retail stores.

Who does your deliveries?

All East Anglian, London, Kent and Midlands jobs are expedited by our own vehicles. National jobs are handled by trusted sub contracted partners. Bulk jobs are delivered direct by manufacturer or by our own HGV fleet.

What if the item is faulty?

White goods For kitchen appliances (white goods) warranty is handled by the manufacturer or the manufacturers nominated repair agent most local to you. The customer using the product is advised to contact the service number shown in the warranty documents supplied with the machine to make arrangements for a service call

Brown goods For TV’s and associated products (brown goods) please contact our sales department who will talk through the problems you are experiencing to ascertain whether the product has a fault or if there is another reason for its behaviour. If the item needs changeover or repair it will need to be returned to us and we will do the rest.
